In zijn liedjes komen jaren van muziekgeschiedenis langs en dan nog weet Bertolf het helemaal als 2010 te laten klinken. Als gitarist van Ilse de Lange rolde hij het popvak in, maar als solo-artiest ontwikkelt hij zich steeds verder als componist en zanger. 2009 werd het jaar van de doorbraak, nu is er zijn tweede cd: Snakes & Ladders.
